Dear Veterans,
Hospice of Marion County (HMC) would like to extend an invitation to our first Veterans Cafe. HMC in collaboration with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Veterans Administration is reaching out to meet the needs of Veterans in our county. HMC will host a Veterans Café quarterly and cafés can be at any local Veteran or service organization.
You might ask yourself what is a Veteran Café? Simply a Veterans Café is a place where Veterans can meet with little or no agenda except to share their stories, talk about what is important to them, visit with one another, or just enjoy the refreshments.
The first gathering will have a small welcoming and topic of discussion to get you started. Then you will enjoy your time together. We encourage you to invite other Veterans who might enjoy this gathering. Veterans from all branches and time of service are welcome.
Our first Veteran Café is scheduled September 23, from 9:00 – 11:00 at Hospice of Marion County in the Elliott Center invitations are included. Please share them with your members and Veterans in the community.
